Novocastrian's once again were blessed with a warm and wonderful weekend. There were plenty of waves to be had if you looked in the right places and the warm spring sunshine was a welcome relief from last Sunday's howling southerly. It concluded with a bang last night when this beautiful storm rolled through. Expertly captured by TBird, it was a nice view from the front veranda of the Beach Cottage and a nearby lookout! PH.

What kind of camera is Tom using? I need to invest in a new camera--at the moment thinking some kind of Canon 400D incarnation.

Oh thanks Rach, Tom deserves all the credit for these babies. He's got a Canon 20D with a couple of different lens'. I'm pretty sure you can go wrong with any of the Canon SLR's hey but make sure you check out Ebay before you buy one in the shop because you can get them brand new from Hong Kong for almost half the price.
